Toby McClane
Qualifications and Experiential Learning Advisor
Toby is a Clinical Education and Development Specialist and HCPC Registered Paramedic, his role on the HPAC council is independent to any other role and undertaken in a personal professional capacity as a volunteer. He has extensive experience in designing and developing various pre-hospital care education and training programmes including nationally recognised regulated qualifications such as First Response Emergency Care, Ambulance and Urgent Care Support and Paramedic Practice.
He is passionate about recognising peoples’ achievements in order to provide a high standard of care to members of the public, to fulfil roles in healthcare and gain recognition from colleagues in the sector.
He has a background in providing clinical leadership and advice to UK emergency services supporting their clinical governance frameworks. Toby is an occasional lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University on their BSc Paramedic Science programme and works with NHS Ambulance Services, Higher Education Institutes (HEI), Apprenticeship Education and Training Providers on various clinical education related projects.
